Lounge or bar in Hotel des Nations Saint Germain

The hotel was in a great location and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Our room faced the garden and it was quiet and pretty. I liked the little touches, such as the welcome note, information on the area in the rooms, and slippers! I also enjoyed getting ice from the ice maker in the morning and coming back to a croissant in the evenings in the reception area.

Typical Parisian 3 star hotel. Nothing very fancy or bad. If you expect big room - forget it. Standart rooms around 3 star hotels in Paris usually are quite small. The breakfast is quite simple, with limited choice of food: scrambled eggs prepared from powder, sausages and baked ham; one or two types of cheese; jams; cereels; pastries of several types, but not freshly made (warmed up); three types of juices; coffee machine and tea; VERY limited choice of fruits (two bananas - not every day, several apples).

I really enjoyed with my stay here, lovely customer service and the location was perfect! Just under a couple of minutes walk from the main saint germain street. The bed was super comfortable and the room was surprisingly more spacious than expected and lovely lighting. Little mini fridge and safe included. Breakfast was lovely too!

Lobby or reception in Hotel des Nations Saint Germain

The location is exceptional, all the receptionists are very welcoming and friendly and the room was the perfect size for a solo traveler! I was lucky to get a double sized bed! Metro station line 10 is just a 5 mins walk away and there are also two bus lines near by! The hotel is literally central you can get anywhere easily and the area is clean and safe.

Great Location. Easy walk to Notre Dame/Paris centre, metro was nearby plus lots of cafes and restaurants. It was close to Rue Mouffetard (market/food shops) and the Sorbonne area which I liked. It didn't feel over the top touristy like some parts of Paris. Staff were very friendly and the room very clean. I loved the long floor to ceiling windows which opened out to a wrought iron railing (felt very parisienne) and to a nice street view (but not noisy). I would definitely stay here again!

Facade/entrance in Hotel des Nations Saint Germain

We knew as soon as Mustafa greeted us to check in that this was going to be a good stay. Super friendly, knowledgeable staff with good tips for where to head for dinner and any other questions we had a long the way. Shout out to Ahmed and Nour too who were also really friendly and helpful both when we arrived and with the questions I had in advance (we needed twin beds so reached out to them). All had exceptional English on reception too. So many reviews mention the rooms being small but this is a beautiful, old building in Paris. This is my 4th trip to Paris and all the hotel rooms are this size and more than adequate size for a base in this beautiful city. The room was really comfortable with great mattresses and air con on what was a hot summer’s week. We had windows facing the pretty street so could look out of Juliet balconies from both the room or bathroom! The location is perfect and the favourite of all my Paris stays. 2 minute walk from two different metro stations on different lines (7 & 10), bus stops near by & the lovely Place Contrascarpe 2 minutes walk away with a great area for food or drinks and steeets leaning away from it. You can walk to the Pantheon in 10 minutes or Notre Dame and river in under 15 minutes. We were there for the Olympics and there was a fan zone in the arena de lutece opposite which was great too. Breakfast was good and the kitchen staff really helpful and friendly despite more limited English. It was served until 10.30 but if you walked in at 10.25 they kept it out until you finished which I thought was exceptional service! We can’t recommend this hotel enough - the staff and location are just perfect.

City view in Hotel des Nations Saint Germain

The location is fantastic. We discovered that the nearby rue mouffetard and place de la contrescarpe are great for restaurants/bars. Very close also to the jardin des plantes - certainly my favourite over the several (more famous) parks we visited during our short stay. The view of Notre-Dame (and Sacre-coeur in the distance) from our room balcony. A (sort of) unexpected bonus! Everything was very clean. Rooms were equipped with everything we needed. Fridge/hairdryer/clothes rail etc.

Perfectly located place in quiet and peaceful Latin Quarter between two metro stations so you can reach every place in Paris very easily. The staff were nice and polite. Cleaning was done every day. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The room was exactly like on the photo with a cute little balcony. The bathroom had a shower rather than a bathtub which is exactly what we wanted.

Restaurant/places to eat in Hotel des Nations Saint Germain

I booked a room with two twin beds, and it was perfect! First, the staff is great, especially Fahed. He made sure to answer all our questions and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities nearby. He made us feel very welcome. The room was a bit small, but it wasn't an issue (which is very normal for Paris). We were still able to fit our luggage, and it wasn't uncomfortable for us. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding was clean. The bathroom was actually spacious. The AC worked perfectly. The hotel is a short walk (10-15 minutes) from Notre Dame and the Panthéon. There's a metro stop 2 minutes away, so it was easy to get around the city. The Eiffel Tower is a 1-hour walk, which we did, and it didn't feel as long. There are many great cafes and restaurants nearby too.
